Noah Karmali is a Grade 12 student in Calgary. He is a passionate entrepreneur, founding his own piano teaching business and lawn-care business when he was 12. Since then, he's been able to develop and learn about soft skills, and he believes that through soft skills being taught at a young age, youth will succeed as the future leaders of tomorrow. Outside of work and school, Noah is an executive member of his city's Mayor's Youth Council and his school's student council, he loves to swim, and is a Team Lead at his mosque.
Noah gave his talk at the 2024 Encounters TEDEd Conference in Vancouver, BC on April 20, 2024. Through his talk, he shares how, with AI and technology advancing rapidly, youth must learn skills that will give them access to opportunities and ensure success.

TED-Ed, TED's education initiative, inspires tomorrow's TED speakers and future leaders by supporting students in discovering, developing and sharing their big ideas in the form of short, TED-style talks. In the TED-Ed Student Talk program, students work together to discuss and celebrate creative ideas through TED-Ed's flexible curriculum.
