About Encounters TEDEd Club

About Us
We are an official TED-Ed club located in Canada with chapters in Vancouver and Toronto. Our club is led by passionate youth who are problem-solvers, critical thinkers and innovators. We nurture empathy, while building presentation and idea literacy, leadership and project management skills. We collaborate within interactive learning environments that are intentionally designed to challenge our thinking, be inclusive, flexible and creative. Our north star is to make the world a more joyful place by celebrating and sharing ideas of youth! In 2022, TED-Ed Global came to visit us and our club was highlighted at the TED 2022 Conference for TED-Ed's 10th Anniversary!

What do we do?

Our program is truly an experience that invites youth to discover their passions, explore identity, develop an idea thoughtfully, and prepare a powerful TED-Ed Student Talk. We share our talks on the TED-Ed platform and at our annual conference.  Our conference is the culmination of a learning process, created for students by students.Club Culture and Mindset
